BEST PRACTICE SHARING FOR COMPANY LAWYERS – CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE
ECLA is set to launch its initiative for a broad platform aimed at sharing best practices among colleagues in legal departments on six current pan-European legal challenges and developments.
The European Company Lawyers Association (ECLA) is initiating its Centers of Excellence, which constitute in-depth working groups at a pan-European expert level focused on various fields of law regarding organizational topics. ECLA’s Centers of Excellence (CoE) will bring together company lawyers from all over Europe. The objective is to offer participants an independent and neutral collaboration platform for exchanging know-how and experience as well as best practice sharing. Participants will also have the opportunity to broaden their international professional network. The Centers of Excellence will focus on current legal developments and challenges. The working groups have the option of formulating and publishing up-to-date information and relevant news for company lawyers with the support of the ECLA Association Services team.
ECLA will start with six different Centers of Excellence this year:
1. Corporate | Mergers & Acquisitions
3. Public Policy | EU Regulations
4. Digitalization | GDPR
5. Legal Technology
6. Organization | Diversity
Individual members of ECLA’s member associations may enroll in each of the Centers of Excellence, and thereby participate in their work. The CoE teams organize themselves in cooperation with the ECLA management. The CoE’s will host calls, video conferences and face-to-face meetings on a regular basis. The Association Services team supports the Centers of Excellence in their content-related work as well as in preparing publications, events and conferences.
If you are interested in networking, learning and sharing best practices at a European level, we will keep you posted on the possibilities to participate in the following weeks.
