The General Counsel Roundtable is an invitation only event for general counsel all across Europe, hosted by the European Company Lawyers Association (ECLA). The event will bring together a limited number of general counsel and decision makers from legal departments to discuss in depth current challenges and latest developments in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) in the Corporate/M&A world. The event is planned as a half-day exclusive meeting that includes open dialogue during a fireside chat on the eve of the roundtable. General counsel are invited to the event and do only have to organise and pay for their travel arrangements.

Hilke specialises in advising on corporate group law matters with a particular focus on corporate governance issues and complex transactions, especially complex joint venture structures. He is an expert in supply chain compliance. This includes the German Supply Chain Act as well as Europe-wide and foreign regulations on corporate due diligence and reporting obligations. In this area, he supports clients, for example, in determining the applicability of legal regimes, setting up a risk management system, conducting risk analyses, drafting contracts and internal guidelines, as well as in infringement and liability cases.

Kai Neuhaus specialises in competition and trade law, with a focus on the digital business. He advises and represents companies in all proceedings before the EU Commission, the German Federal Cartel Office as well as the European Court of Justice and German courts. In competition law he has long-standing experience with merger control, abuse of dominance and cartel proceedings. He regularly provides competition law advice on distribution contracts and e-commerce. In the area of trade law Kai assists clients e.g. with EU anti-dumping proceedings and EU and German trade sanctions and embargos and related compliance issues.
