The Ilustre Colegio De la Abogacía De Madrid (ICAM) and the European Company Lawyers Association (ECLA) are pleased to invite you to Roundtable Workshop on the Status of In-House Lawyers and Legal Professional Privilege in Europe. The workshop will bring together 25-35 European experts from different countries to discuss the latest developments, trends, legislative initiatives, and court proceedings with respect to legal professional privilege for in-house lawyers.

Dr Björn Herbers is a German qualified competition and regulatory lawyer based in the CMS EU Law Office in Brussels. He has significant experience in complex proceedings before the European Commission and the European courts and furthermore regularly represents clients before national authorities. Björn’s practice particularly focuses on competition law in the digital economy. He has also successfully represented clients in several headline cases in the telecommunications sector.

Björn joined CMS in 2009 after training with, inter alia, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition and the German National Regulatory Authority and has been a partner within the CMS EU Law Office since 2017. In 2015, he was seconded to a leading competition economics consultancy firm in Brussels.
