After achieving advanced degrees in public and European law from the Universities Paris V and Paris I, Marc Mossé practiced as an attorney after working as a parliamentary associate to Robert Badinter.
After serving a period as Director for Legal and Public Affairs at Microsoft France, he is currently Senior Director Government Affairs and Assistant General Counsel for Microsoft Europe. He is also a member of the French Artistic and Literary Property High Council, as well as a manager of the Manufacturer’s Union (Union des Frabricants). He is a visiting professor for the Innovation Law Master at SciencePo.
He was elected President of AFJE on 24 January 2019, and previously served as the Association’s vice-President.

Christophe Roquilly is Professor and Dean of Faculty and Research at EDHEC Business School where he also heads the LegalEdhec research centre and co-directs the LLM in Law & Tax Management. Author of several books and numerous articles in academic and professional journals, he devotes his research to the relationship between law and strategy, legal management and legal risk management, as well as to the impact of digital technology in the legal professions. Christophe is a member of the Scientific Council of the Semaine Juridique Entreprise et Affaires (Lexis Nexis) and the Scientific Council of the Business & Legal Forum. He also directs the “Digit@l” column in Juriste d’Entreprise Magazine and the “Droit, Juriste et Pratique du Droit Augmentés” column at Les Affiches Parisiennes”.

Daniel Hulme is the CEO of Satalia, a London-based company that provides Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to solve industry’s hardest problems. He is also the Director of UCL’s Business Analytics MSc, applying AI to solve business, governmental and social problems.
He has a Masters and Doctorate in AI from UCL, lectures on topics in Computer Science and Business, and is passionate about how technology can be used to govern organisations and bring positive social impact. Dr Daniel Hulme has advisory and executive positions across companies and governments. He holds an international Kauffman Global Entrepreneur Scholarship and actively promotes purposeful. Jonathan Marsh

Jonathan Marsh has developed extensive experience over the past 29 years in international business transactions, with over 20 years’ experience in the energy sector, involving long term projects with long investment horizons. He has deep knowledge of geopolitical and legal risk assessments. Recognized within his profession, Mr. Marsh serves in leadership roles in French and European professional associations. Jonathan Marsh currently serves as Deputy General Counsel of the Marketing Services Division of the Total S.A. Group legal department. In this role Mr. Marsh manages the legal activities performed by 170 in-house legal counsel in over 100 countries. He serves on the Group Legal Committee consisting of 10 General Counsel supervising the global team of 550 lawyers in the Total Group. Previously Mr. Marsh was International General Counsel from 2015 to 2017.
From 2002 to 2015, Mr. Marsh led the Mergers, Acquisitions and Finance Division of the Total S.A. Holding Group Legal Department.Mr. Marsh also served as Group US Counsel, supervising in particular relations with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Mr. Marsh also serves as President of the European Company Lawyers Association, as Vice President International Affairs and on the Board of Directors of the French In-house Counsel Association (Association Française des Juristes d’Entreprises – AFJE) as well as on the Management Committee of the French M&A Association (Association des Responsables de Fusions Acquisitions).

Holly Roper is the Digital Legal Counsel at Bombardier supporting the global IT function with a footprint in over 60 countries. She specializes in all tech law matters such as complex global licensing and software agreements, IT outsourcing, data privacy, cybersecurity, and IT-related disputes.
She also has a deep focus on digitalization projects (advising on emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, big data, blockchain) and is supporting the General Counsel in the digital transformation of the in-house legal department. Holly is an Australian-qualified lawyer based in Berlin with experience working in both private practice and in-house.

Quentin Roulier serves asa Privacy Solutions Engineer at OneTrust – the largest and most widely used dedicated privacy management technology platform to operationalize privacy, security and third-party risk management. In his role, Quentin advises companies large and small on EU GDPR, California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Brazil LGPD, and hundreds of the world’s privacy laws, focused on formulating efficient and effective responses to data protection requirements as well as building and scaling privacy programs. Quentin is a Certified Information Privacy Professional with his CIPP/E and CIPM.

Cécile has developed extensive experience in corporate law and M&A, after over 20 years assisting both corporate groups and international Private Equity funds. She started her career at the French law firm Jeantet et Coudert Frères and subsequently joined PwC, where she became Associate in 2008. Since 2018, she works as Corporate and M&A partner at Deloitte-Taj. Cécile has a DEA in private law from the University Paris II and is a member of the Paris Bar.

Muriel has over 19 years of experience in business law and works in close cooperation with the lawyers of Deloitte Legal international network. She focuses mainly on commercial law (contract, distribution, competition and trade disputes) as well as on corporate restructuring in the fields of banking, insurance and real estate. Dr Kion Ahadi joined The Law Society in May 2019 in the newly created role of Director of Futures and Insight. He is responsible for establishing and leading a future focused insights and knowledge management function. His main interest lies in understanding the future issues affecting the legal profession, to help inform The Law Society’s 160,000 plus members. Before joining The Law Society, Kion worked in senior positions leading data, insight, research and evaluation teams within The National Lottery Heritage Fund, as well as Creative Skillset, the industry-led skills charity for the creative industries. He has also worked for Nesta, an Innovation foundation, which brings bold ideas to life to change the world for the better. At Nesta, he led a £70m investment fund, which backed innovative projects across the National Health Service. Kion has an exemplary academic record: PhD in Sociology, MSc International Business (Distinction), and a 1st class honours degree in Business Economics. He has also authored a bestselling science fiction novel “Exit Darkness, Enter Light”.
Global Lead ESG Counsel, Nokia Corporation
Anca Plovie is the Global Lead ESG Counsel of Nokia. She has multi-jurisdictional expertise in telecommunications and technology law, privacy law, cybersecurity law and employment law, having provided specialized guidance to the Nokia group and leading dedicated multi-disciplinary taskforces during the most significant regulatory changes and events of the past 8 years, including the implementation of GDPR, Brexit and the COVID crisis. Previously, she worked as a regional legal counsel for Alcatel-Lucent and a tax lawyer for two Big Four companies. Her diverse experience provided her with a solid background for her current function where she is focusing on sustainability and responsible artificial intelligence, supporting Nokia’s global efforts to meet ambitious ESG goals. Anca is also involved in policy and standardization efforts in AI and AI ethics. She holds legal degrees from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the University of Sibiu and she is a member of the Belgian Institute for Company Lawyers.

Massimo Scaravonati graduated in Law at the University of Florence with a thesis in comparative tax law and holds an LL.M. degree from the Ludwig-Maximilan-Universitaet in Munich (Germany). As full qualified lawyer Massimo is admitted to the Bar in Italy and practiced for several years in Italy and abroad for Italian and international law firms, primarily focusing on German-Italian business transactions. Starting in 2007 he continued his career as in-house lawyer in the legal department of Hewlett-Packard Italiana, the local affiliate of the multinational hardware IT company, holding positions with increasing responsibilities, both in the Italian legal team as well as EMEA Senior Legal Counsel in support of higher management of regional business divisions. Since 2016 Massimo is Managing Counsel (for the territories of Italy & Greece, Malta and Cyprus) at Oracle Italia, the national affiliate of the global leading provider for enterprise software, hardware and Cloud solutions. In his role Massimo is supporting mainly the Cloud commercial division, overseeing also complex commercial and legal transactions with cross-borders implications, as well as IPR and Privacy related matters. Massimo is CIPE/E certified and currently is Treasurer of “AIGI”, the Italian company lawyers association (one of the founding member of ECLA). As such he is regularly intervening as speaker at various conferences, debating on current and future challenges and opportunities for companies lawyers, such as new technical development like e.g. block-chain and artificial intelligence, along with related regulations and implications.

Gianluca Campus is a head counsel and qualified lawyer specialized in intellectual property, tech and telecommunications laws. He has a PhD in Law and is Fellow of the University of Milan. During his academic course, he has been post-doc researcher in the University of Foggia and winner of a scholarship of the German Academic Exchange Programme. He is co-editor of the Media Blog Medialaws.eu and contributor of the international IP blogs Kluwer Copyright Blog and of the European Intellectual Property Review. Rieke Smakman is a Dutch former attorney drawing from 20+ years of experience in corporate and commercial litigation. Rieke started her career with Baker & McKenzie Amsterdam, and went on to co-found a law firm, that earned international acclaim for its success in art restitution. Early 2018, Rieke pivoted her career to pursue her passion (also) for technology, drawn by the opportunities offered by bitcoin and related technologies. In 2018, Rieke joined a London-based blockchain start-up, a pioneer in ‘encoded agreements’. Rieke most recently held the position of Senior Legal Counsel with a Dutch challenger bank. Rieke regularly sits as an arbitrator in corporate and commercial disputes.
Lawyer, Data Protection Specialist, Intesa San Paolo S.p.A
Salvatore Modesto is a lawyer who has gained a considerable experience both in law firms as well as in multinational companies, dealing with corporate contracts and privacy matters, also addressing various issues related to transfer of personal data to non-EU countries. Since 2016 he has been working as an in-house lawyer in the Privacy Advisory Office of a primary Italian financial institution, where he manages various issues relating to personal data protection for the parent company and for foreigners banks of the group (both EU and extra EU).
Salvatore also monitors the development of regulations on privacy, collaborating in close synergy with the office of the bank that oversees the relations with European institutions, participating in the work groups of financial sector at the European level (for instance at the European Bank Federation).
